Homies of UNITEDRSC

Idris Battou

Hometown: Silver Spring, MD

Skateboarding since 2008

Sponsors: The Good Roll Skate Shop, Philthy East Skateboards, Huf (flow).

Why do I support UNITEDRSC?

"I'm backing UNITEDRSC because it's helping to foster a community of skateboarders. I've met so many people through this organization that I'm happy to be able to call friends, and without it, I'd probably go years without even running into them."

Advice for skaters:

If you're skating in these contests, keep in mind that style counts, and don't spend half your run trying the same trick. Keep it flowing and go fast.

Alan Bryers

Hometown: Gaithersburg, MD

Skateboarding since 1991

Why do you support UNITEDRSC?

"I like working with UNITEDRSC because they are all about the younger generation and helping kids grow and make sure they all get something for competing."

Words of advice for skaters:

"Never give up and just because you fall it doesn't mean it's over, it just means try harder."

Duvell Burton

Hometown: Washington, DC

Skateboarding since 2003

Why do you support UNITEDRSC?

"I support UNITEDRSC because it's something I wish I could have had when I was growing up skating. "

Words of advice for skaters:

"My only advice to the other skaters is go out there have fun, do you, and skate hard everyday."

Jon Jenkins

Hometown: Silver Spring, MD

Skateboarding since 2005

Sponsors: Spruzi Skateboards, JBJ Group, Killa Gorilla Apparel

Why do you support UNITEDRSC?

"I support UNITEDRSC because it is a great opportunity for the entire skateboarding community young, old, advanced, or beginners. Everyone can have a fun time and skate and win prizes. We didn't have this when I was coming up."

Words of advice for skaters:

"Stay on your grind and don't let anyone tell you you can't do something. A lot of people oppose this sport, but as we keep growing as a community skateboarding continues to prove everyone wrong. If you love it, do it and don't stop till you've achieved the impossible."

Tai Johnson

Hometown: Washington, DC

Skateboarding since 1988

Sponsors: The Archive, Deadly All Star Urethane

Why do you support UNITEDRSC?

"It's different. It's local. It's skateboarding."

Words of Advice for skaters:

"It's not what you do, it's how you do it. Trick selection and execution can be otherworldly, but it won't matter in a contest if it looks like ca-ca."

Rocky Roary

Hometown: New Carrolton, MD

Why do you support UNITEDRSC?

"I support you guys because it's the first local club actually doing something and gets me really hyped on summer skating."

Words of Advice for skaters:

"Have fun and get buck!"

Eric Rogers

Owner/Operator - UNITEDRSC

"I noticed a bunch of urban-style skateparks popping up in the DMV area, and had an idea about creating a local skateboarding competition series.  I pursued the owners of the different skateparks with my idea, of hosting family friendly skate competitions, and Maryland National Park and Planning was on board.

UNITEDRSC was born in late 2013, and has been growing ever since, thanks to the skaters and all the local support!! All Glory to God!"
